An English traveller went, about a hundred and fifty rapetra, " where they say St Paul preached : it is a large chapel having twelve pillars all cut out of the rock, which was done by the Christians in the night time. Close by is a fountain, where they say he used to baptize, and it is now called St Paul's fountain : the water thereof is very good to cure such as have sore eyes.
