It being now almost sunset I thought it prudent, instead of going on to Hághio Vasili this evening, to turn off to the left soon after passing the fountain. After going about a mile to the southward, we arrived at the village of Sykológo. The chief produce of its fields is corn, although it possesses wine and oil enough for its own consumption.

Ο Συκολόγος είναι χωριό του Δήμου Βιάννου της Περιφερειακής Ενότητας Ηρακλείου με πληθυσμό 314 κατοίκων, σύμφωνα με την απογραφή του 2011. Είναι κτισμένο σε υψόμετρο 580 μέτρων. Απέχει από το Ηράκλειο 75 χιλιόμετρα και από την Άνω Βιάννο (έδρα του Δήμου) 16 χιλιόμετρα.

Sykolologos is a village in the Municipality of Viannos of the Regional Unit of Heraklion with a population of 314 inhabitants, according to the 2011 census. It is built at an altitude of 580 meters. It is 75 km from Heraklion and 16 km from Ano Vianno (seat of the Municipality).
