el Ο οικοδεσπότης τον ενημερώνει ότι πριν από χρόνια βρήκε ένας χωρικός αρχαία ειδώλια, τα οποία από φόβο μην του τα κλέψουν τα έθαψε σε τοποθεσία "άγνωστη". Ο συγγραφέας σημειώνει ότι η ιστορία αυτή του φαίνεται κυνήγι θησαυρού.

en The host informs him that years ago a villager found ancient figurines, which he buried in an "unknown" location for fear of being stolen. The author notes that this story seems to him a treasure hunt.

en After spending several hours in the examination of the remains of Fhalasarna, we obtained some misithra, brought us by a shepherd whose sheepfold was near, and with it and some bread we appeased the hunger excited by our long morning1s work, and began to retrace our steps to the hamlet of Kutri. Our host Gheorgakes Ligopsykhes56, who, along with some other villagers, had accompanied us as a guide and companion, tells me of the discovery, some years ago, of certain " statues" and " idols," a little below the village.

Η Φαλάσαρνα αποτελεί σήμερα έναν από τους πιο φημισμένους προορισμούς στην Κρήτη, τόσο για τις παραλίες, όσο και για λόγους οικολογικού ενδιαφέροντος. Η Φαλάσαρνα έχουν ενταχθεί στα σχέδια Natura 2000, λόγω της ποικιλίας χλωρίδας και πανίδας στην περιοχή αλλά και λόγω του ιδιαίτερου φυσικού κάλλους.

en Phalasarna or Falasarna (Ancient Greek: Φαλάσαρνα) is a Greek harbor town at the west end of Crete that flourished during the Hellenistic period. The currently visible remains of the city include several imposing sandstone towers and bastions, with hundreds of meters of fortification walls protecting the town, and a closed harbor, meaning it is protected on all sides by city walls. The harbor is ringed by stone quays with mooring stones, and connected to the sea through two artificial channels. Notable finds in the harbor area include public roads, wells, warehouses, an altar, and baths. Most of these structures were revealed by excavations that began in 1986.
